Windsor & Eton Brew 477 Bostin' Mild

Brewer: Windsor & Eton Brewery
Style: Mild Ale
Alcohol Content: 3.5%
Seasonal: Special

Description:
Cask; Special. Brew 477 is the second in our series of Collaborative Brews. This time Paddy has worked with one of his brewing colleagues from the early 80’s. Richard Harvey joined Bass Mitchells and Butlers at cape Hill Birmingham in 1975 when it was the world’s biggest Mild Ale brewery. Between them, Paddy and Richard believe that they have brewed more Mild therefore than any other working brewers. Since then Richard went on to work at Springfield brewery (Wolverhampton), Highgate (Walsall),Gibbs Mew, Hopback and Goddard’s (Isle of Wight) – all the latter positions as Head Brewer. He has also brewed in many other UK and foreign breweries including Graf Arco Brauerei in Bavaria. Richard and Paddy go on and on about Mild Ale- a retro style now but one of the classic British beers. “Bostin’ Mild’ (pronounced Moild) is a rich dark brown almost black, malty beer with distinct chocolate and burnt toast character. Easy drinking and thirst quenching but very satisfying. Brings a tear to the eye of all good Black Country fans! Only produced in cask (3.5% ABV) and is now available in PET bottles and minicasks and kegs via the brewery shop. This beer is also available from Goddards Brewery on the Isle of Wight
