Brewer: Local Option Bierwerker
Style: Stout
Alcohol Content: 7%
Seasonal: No

Description:
Scorched Tundra VI is a coffee stout made by Local Option Bierwerker for the sixth edition of Scorched Tundra metal festival taking place at The Empty Bottle in Chicago on September 2nd and 3rd. For the coffee, we decided on a blend of Caturra/Catuai washed and Catuai Natural roasted by our friends at Dark Matter in Chicago. The beans come from a family operated farm in San Jeronimo Miramar Guatemala, which uses water that is naturally filtered through rocks at a nearby volcano. The profile of the coffee itself is a slightly sweet, jammy, with dark fruit and subtle roast notes. This unique blend serves the base beer – a sweet stout featuring Bramling Cross hops – very well. This very drinkable black bier will be available in mid August at select bars across Chicago and both days of the festival.
