Blackhorse has opened their Knoxville location, and it is my understanding that they brew on premises (need to confirm). Does this get entered as a separate brewery, or are all beers supposed to rated from the Clarksville location? It is my understanding that they will use established recipes, but Knoxville may eventually have the freedom to make their own brews (again, need to confirm). |
Just read this today, after rating the place. I agree with what you have done, entering it separately. It seems kinda like the Big River Grille situation to me. The Blackhorse used to brew some occasional one-off stuff that was only available in one or the other (Knox and Clarksville), so hopefully they’ll occasionally make something decent. Kind of a letdown to see that beerwise, the place seems to only have picked up where they left off when they packed it up and vamoosed K-town around 1999 or so. And maybe not even that much; when I asked my server if they had plans for a Mug Club like they used to do, she just kind of laughed at me and looked at me like I’m a crazy old drunk. I’m used to that look, but it usually isn’t accompanied by a laugh... |
I actually got a response from an admin. They said to just leave it one brewery. And yeah, hope the beer gets better... |
Makes sense. Now that I’m looking at it without a few beers under my belt, that IS the way the Big River Grille is set with everything under Gordon Biersch. |
Originally posted by nearbeer Here’s what the admin told me. I think it makes sense: Hi Phil, The only time when two or multiple branch brewpubs are separated with their own beers as long as they brew on premise is if the brewpubs exist in separate states (e.g.: Rock Bottom, Big Horn, Gordon Biersch, Big River, etc) The only time ratebeer separates beers from brewpub branches within the same state is when the owner contacts ratebeer admins and requests it. The Knoxville location is a branch of the main Clarksville brewpub in Tennessee so all beers should be listed under the Clarksviille brewpub location. |
