Brewer’s Cask

Urban bar vibe. Hint: no casks. Long narrow space, nice size bar. Food available. Good selection of local taps, decent sandwich. Friendly, fast service. A lot quieter than the place closer to the ball field.

Decent enough place when bar hopping in Federal Hill...but not up to the standards of say a Max’s Taproom of course. Beer selection is decent...but definitely not a craft beer destination. Definitely a good stop if already in the Federal Hill area...especially if there’s some live music.

Small, dark, narrow bar. Selection wasn’t too bad, but somewhat smaller compared to other local places. They do serve food, but the kitchen was closed when I was there, so I cannot rate that. Overall, not too shabby for what it is.

Pretty standard, low light bar in Federal Hill. Most of the staff doesn’t know much about beer, but offer decent service. Food is also just decent without much standing out. Tap selection is almost all craft beers, but they don’t rotate often. Also, they’re pretty safe offerings such as Fat Tire and a few wheat beers. They do offer three 10oz pours for $7 during happy hour in case your looking to try a few different things.

A small and dimly light bar in Fed Hill. Parking in a deck is your best bet as there is very little street parking. There are about 18 - 24 taps, widely varied with a emphasis on locals. The food was not impressive, but not bad either. The menu certainly gave a better impression. Service was good.

Visited for first time today, and enjoyed our stay in this nice little place in Federal Hill. Staff was friendly, as was the clientele. We did not eat, though the place has been termed a gastro pub and the menu has a few creative looking items among the standard pub grub fare. Was happy to discover one cask ale in addition to the good selection of draughts, but a fair bit disappointed to hear the cask is available on Fridays and Saturdays only... perhaps the weekday crowd just isn’t populous and cask-loving enoughn to allow it all week. A nice, comfortable place... we’ll be back for sure!
