80 Ambiance is everything, and this place has it. Especially warm and cozy on cold winter nights. Reasonable beer selection (often a new tap is featured, along with a take-home souvenir glass), food is terrific tavern fare (especially the burgers). Worth seeking out (and don’t forget the patio in fair weather) |
70 Arthur’s is a good burger joint on the outside of Hyde Park Square. Good (but limited) draft and bottle selection, and great burgers. Early week burger specials too! Worth a trip (or four). |
72 Around the corner from Hyde Park Square, Arthur’s has two sides, one mostly tables and one with a bar and booths and more tables. It gets very crowded, especially on weekend nights. The staff is good. They now have a permanent pale lager from Rivertown on tap, for only $3. Nice feature. They’ve pretty much gone all-local with the selection - MadTree, Blank Slate, Cellar Dweller, etc. I like it. There aren’t many bottles, but some crafts and macros are available. Food is solid. |
74 Arthur’s is a great neighborhood bar in Hyde Park. Parking can be difficult use the pay lot behind the restaurant (off Edwards). Draught beer selection is typical and uninteresting, bottled selection a bit better (I usually order Dogfish 60m IPA). The service is generally prompt and courteous, the food is great (Sun-Tues Burger Madness), and the back patio is quaint and cozy. Overall, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. |
