62 Placed in a small square/parking in the centre of The Hague. The bar is veeery old school, probably its walls haven't been cleaned in ages (don't know if they got dirt or mold, but some parts are almost black), credit cards don't work properly. The gentleman at the bar (presumably the owner) gets easily distracted by other customers and is a little difficult to get his attention. Selection was small on tap, but large in bottles. Overall, though, I would not return. I prefer cleaner places. |
70 Quiet, friendly pub on a small square near the citry center. Old brown pub atmosphere, some pleasant surprises from tap. Friendly service, decent price tags. The bottled beer list is more for the old school Belgian beer lover. Liked it there and will probably be back. |
72 Not a bad little place, quite old school but with a couple of interesting guest taps. One of the better local options. |
74 Nice location like the others reviews mention. It’s a bit hidden though, which is quite nice because that means it’s also more quiet. They have lots of bottles, but most are standard Belgian ones that you can find everywhere. Some nice beers on tap though, and about 10-15 seasonal and local bottles with interesting stuff. Good service, but one of the guys insisted on telling me how my beers would taste (after I already ordered it). Well, I do have tastebuds of my own, guy. I’m sure these people are meaning well but it’s so annoying when it happens, and it does seem to occur more and more. But yeah, friendly service! prices are quite high, especially for bottles. |
76 Medium sized and cosy stretched interior. Quiet patio hidden away in a quiet area between lively streets in a bit of an uptown area in the center. Would have never found this place if it weren’t on here. Nice display wall of bottles behind the bar. Lot of classics and some locals. Nice quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Although the selection is good and wide there wasn’t much to choose in regard of new ticks. About 8 cranes. |
74 Brief walk from the centre, hidden in a quiet and pleasant courtyard. Nice terrace, special old looking place with plenty dark wood. Friendly service. Typical higher Dutch prices. Good amount of bottles but also a lot of usual suspects. Crowd were just locals. Good place to drink but with a larger selection, I kind of expect more new and interesting bottles for me. Beer selection is good mix of established & newer breweries, Belgian and Dutch, very limited German I remember. 3 rotating taps there, those has 2 new offerings for me but both were new Jopen releases. Still good place to drink & hang out. I dug Murphy’s Law quite a bit more & that place is only around the corner. |
80 A bit of a secret location and that’s exactly what makes this bar so attractive. Small but very nice staff. Plenty of beers to choose from but most of them are known and widely available. Stll has some attractive specials. Will come back! |
78 Local out of the way place with lots of great craft beer in bottles. On tap there was nothing unusual but enjoyed being there and trying the bottles. |
78 Visited again with beerbuddy Marius. Nice interior, lots of chrome, but more important many beers. Staff is helpfull in getting us unrated beers. Had a nice addition to the lsit. Quite busy, limited place inside, hope the weather improves and you can sit outside. We wondered about the association with the railways. |
76 This pub is a bit hidden away it seems. Been in the neighbourhood plenty of times but never visited before. Nice cosy pub with a pretty good selection. Not a lot of new ones for me though but certainly worth a visit. |
