Medium size grocery store with a more than average craft beer selection for a grocery store. Friendly staff.

Jokingly gave it a ten in food as it is a grocery store. That aside, has a nice selection of stuff I normally cannot find in the area.

This is my go to place in the lansing area. They don’t do singles, but they have really upped their selection lately, and the prices are very good. Will often get specialty brews from founders and other michigan microbreweries. Best spot for a six pack or a bomber.

Ahhhh so close but so far away. MI state laws prevented us from buying anything, as it was only around 10:30 am. Large selection of bottles were on display, with a good reduced bin and some stuff on sale. Lots of regionals and out of state stuff. Prices seemed decent. The gentleman working there was helpful, even though we couldn’t buy anything. I’ll give er’ a whirl again.

Unfortunately we didn’t realize that Michigan law doesn’t allow for sale of alcohol before noon (on Sunday) so we didn’t actually buy anything here. I did spend a bit of time perusing though. A solid regional presence which existed mostly in six packs that can’t be split up. The ones that did come in singles were good prices, often $0.80 to $1.50 cheaper than elsewhere in the region. I’ll probably be back here to snag up some of the good offers if I’m ever in the area again.

Good selection, focusing mostly on American micros but with a good selection of imports as well (especially Belgian, English, and German mainstays, plus a few surprises). All Bells and Unibroue brews can be found here, though mysteriously they didn’t have anything by Founders which is only about an hour and a half away. The only other game in town really is Tom’s Party Store, and generally I’ve found Goodrich’s to have fresher beer with a wider selection.

Nice selection for the small area taken up by the beer. A focus on local Michigan brews. Good choices from Avery, DFH and Jolly Pumpkin. Reasonable prices. Also, Anderson Valley beers I hadn’t seen in the midwest before.

This small grocery store in a strip mall happens to be next to a great little deli in East Lansing (Hobie’s) that I’ve eaten at for years and years. It’s ironic that I was so close to good beer. Goodrich’s selection of wine is quite impressive, filling one full aisle and parts of other aisles. The last aisle at the E part of the store has a decent selection of craft beers, domestic and international. Nothing struck me as being too out-of-the-ordinary, but there were a few things here I never saw in Grand Rapids (Frog Island, Grant’s, Leopold Bros.). The singles selection was OK for domestic microbrews, but many local beers were only available in six-packs. Better prices than in GR, though, with Dogfish Head WWS weighing in at $8.09 rather than $9.00. Still, if this is the best Lansing has to offer, the city is quite depauperate in beer selection.

Along with a large selection of wine (for a grocery store) they have a small selection of English and German stuff, some Belgians, and mostly US micros. Good selection for a grocery store. I picked up some Dogfish Head, Orval, Great Lakes, Dark Horse, and Kwak.
