A small venue with a few taps and a decent cooler full of bottled beers, all craft brews. Prices are pretty decent, not marked up through the roof, and some rare stuff was found from Cantillon and Mikkeler to name a few. Vibe is pretty laid back, and thankfully free from the usual Whyte ave assholes. Worth supporting.

One of the best selection for Edmonton, we need more places like this.

I dig this place. Sure it’s shoddy and grungy, but that doesn’t really bother me. They have some pretty wicked shows come through, the tap set up is modest but local, with an occasional intriguing rarity, but their bottle selection is pretty rad, in fact, I would argue it’s the best in the city, and the prices don’t suck at all. Staff are charming assholes.

This is a must stop in place for anyone who likes craft brews. The owners are passionate beer enthusiasts and it shows in their selection and willingness to educate. Unfortunately this is a small music venue, so if you don’t like the music you only have a few hours at the beginning of the evening to get some drinks in. During the summer it is much better with a big patio that offers more space and serenity.

This is the true definition of a dive bar. Nothing to look at from the outside, though there is a large patio when the weather turns warm. Inside is dark, lived in, and basic. A few tables with chairs, couple of high tables and chairs, and a long padded bench with 3 long tables. Small L shaped bar with a large chalkboard displaying what’s on tap and the staff recommendations for which bottles to plump for. All taps are local/micro beers, and all beers in the well stocked fridge are craft/micro/local beers. NO beers from the BMC crowd are sold. The owners pride themselves on supporting local beers, and I wish more local bars would do the same. Pricing is extremely reasonable, and even more so when the local EBGA meetings take place. A true local institution and a place you must at least visit when in Edmonton.

Quite frankly the fact that they have all independent beers for sale an no macros is what draws me here. They host beer geeks anonymous meetings which are always interesting and fun. I can’t really stand the music they often have and the ambiance and atmosphere is geared to a VERY specific crowd I’m not a part of. A go to place if you want to try some good beer and they typically have something new. Niche market to sum it up. Re-read that, seems kind of negative. Don’t get that impression. In Edmonton, you have to check this place out and support it. The beer is reason enough and I am very appreciative of their dedication to the local scene and my precious beverage.

Located in the old German restaurant that was here for ever. First and foremost - the owners and staff here are VERY DEDICATED to getting the best in local beers and special one offs on tap. There are only 5 taps but it is all local beer and that selection does rotate frequently. This is the only location in the city that is 100% dedicated to the local scene. The bottle selection is excellent and ever changing and the staff is very enthusiastic about brews. As far as Edmonton goes this is the place for beer.
