Located just by the Dom, the cathedral, I couldn’t find it as Burggasse was too small street on my city plan. Then I saw the street completely accidentaly and headed to the number 4. What a discovery, it definitely made my stay in Styria so good. Of course, I didn’t think before Dom Brau is near the Dom. What a retard! Anyway, it is a nice place looking small at first, but with several almost separated rooms so you can enjoy it in peace or however you want. Walls are mostly decorated with brewery photos, certificates and related things. The waitress was very friendly, although not really knowledgeable, but no matter, very fast (ok, the place was almost empty in the afternoon) and efficient. From beers they have a few of each big European beercountry, many regional microbrewers offered probably only here, plus their own brands of course, always offering season specials, weizenbock this time. Food selection is quite good, there are lot of local specialties that pairs good with different beers, but also quite expensive. Very nice place, the next day I have also visited it to have one beer during half an hour I got before leaving.

A little gem in the Center of Graz, right by the Cathedral obviously. Obviously ran by geeks, they also maintain a list of various guest beers which is fun to take advantage of. More experimental than most austrian breweries, this would fit Vienna. Friendly setup and atmosphere. The place looks smaller than it is which is also a plus and the service was as good as any in Austria.

My favourite place in Graz, whenever I was in graz for last 2 or 3 years I stopped by for a beer or two. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. Quite good beer and food selection. One tram station from Jakomini platz, then right up on the hill to the cathedral. Not more than 5 minutes.

Located in the old part of Graz, right next to the main cathedral. The atmosphere inside is quite pleasant. We visited it around noon, so there were more patrons who came just for food, not for the beer (which looked and smelled good, but we didn’t eat anything). Plenty of places to sit. Very friendly staff, but not very fast (more than tolerable though). The Dom Bräu are fine, and you can get them bottle conditioned as well. Their site wasn’t up to date, but we were more than pleasantly surprised when we found out that the special was Weizenbock instead of, as we thought Helles Extraleicht. A good selection of bottled beers from some micros near Graz. Their menu system could be improved, as we only found out about those by accident, as they were mentioned on a single sheet of paper somewhere on one of the windows near the door. Still, it’s a great place to spend an hour or three while in Graz.
