68 It’s a BJs; ’nuff said. That means above average chain food that shows quite a bit of consistency. This place typically has Arrogant Bastard on tap, PIraat in a bottle, and their own IPA Hopstorm. That is more than enough to get into trouble. Their happy hour is pretty solid with $4 pints of their house brews only. |
58 Second BJ I have visited. Indeed looks excactly like the previous one, inlcuding menu and beer list. Good taste food and normal portions. Beer was nice too. Service bit pushy, was still eating my steak when she asked what I would like for desert. Think it all about turnover. |
64 All BJ’s are practically the same--average-to-good beer, great but overpriced food, and a nice artsy downhome atmosphere. I just wish the beer or the decor was different from place to place. But it’s always the same consistant restaurant, same consistant beer. Like I said, beer is either mediocre or pretty good, depending on your taste. |
78 Very fun place to go. The food is very good and their beers are really very decent. I always end up making a stop there when ever im back in that area. |
82 Love coming here tuesdays for half off pints of jeremiah red. Great food, sweet pig and great white pizzas are excellent. A more quiet place considering it is a restaraunt also. The only problem is the beers rarely change seems like their seasonals last 9 months. |
40 Sterile environment. Some good food selections. Not worth the drive outside of the Loop unless I just happen to be passing through. |
64 Not too far from the Bush IAH airport in north Houston, and probably the closest brewpub/beerbar to the airport. Having St. Arnolds brew their beers is a bonus. This BJ’s feels more yuppie-upscale than others I’ve visited. |
66 Typical BJs decor. The beer is better than most other BJs, as it is brewed by Saint Arnold. Had the avacado egg roll appetizer (hot with chipotle peppers... quite good if you like that flavor), turkey sandwich, and a couple brews. Not bad for Houston. |
72 I enjoyed my time at this brewpub. The beer, environment, and the food were very good. Will definately visit again if I return to Houston. |
66 Part of the BJ’s chain. Their beer is contract brewed by St. Arnold in Houston-thus the quality is very good. The only issue I have is that the styles never change. They do have 1 or 2 seasonals. The best by far the the Grand Cru-a January release.
Good family atmosphere, good food and good happy hour prices. Close to home so it works for me in this noted beer desert that is north Houston/Spring TX. |
