one of the worst places to get beverages. everything in the store is out of date so I can believe when other reviewers are saying that their beer is sour. Owner is one of the most unhappy punks I have ever met. Not very helpful when you ask a question.

One of the better beer stores on Long Island. Decent selection overall.

Just visited this store based on its high rating on this site. Big Mistake. Theres more space than beer and the selection is nothing special. The man working the register seemed completely uninterested in helping other than pointing to where "so and so" beer is. There is a nice growler fill station however the large "No Samples" sign was discouraging. The mix and match section has the best value as the discounts get higher with the more bottles you buy. If your a local looking for kegs and cases of domestic then this is an OK spot. otherwise I wont be returning.

[Re-rate - when I lived on Long Island, I used to shop here all the time - it’s been about three years since I last came to visit, and this place has really gone downhill - it’s just a shadow of its former self - very limited local selection, much fewer imports than it used to have - much less shelf space than it used to have - a lot of other area stores are now much better - the superstar stores in Huntington and bay port, for example, are now far superior - a damn shame] I’ve got to echo the other raters here this place is great - the 50% off table and mix-a-six (which is pretty much the size of most normal store’s entire beer selection) alone are worth a stop - the owner wasn’t in on my visit, but the guy working was super helpful, and energetic none-the-less - the import selection has a way to go to compare to Shoreline, but as far as American micros, they have pretty much everything they can possibly get - he seems to have more shelving than he has beer, so I hope he’s looking to fill that shelving - their e-mail list with weekly updates sounds promising - I was impressed, and will probably keep coming back here - hell, once their growler station is running I’ll probably come here over any other store on the Island.

Visited right before closing on a Wednesday night. Service was friendly and helpful right away. Wholesale warehouse feel, beer in a cooler along one wall, area of singles up front, 6 or so taps at a growler fill station. There is also a long rack of beers warm in the middle (though the place was like 55 degrees, so warm is relative). Good spot, though seemed a touch light on local NY/NJ beers.

Wow, shame on me for not having reviewed the place where I spend most of my beer dollars until now. I’ll flog myself later. If you need a growler and you are anywhere near Western Suffolk this is your place. Better stocked on drafts then some "beer bars", the turnover is mindblowingly fast so everything is always fresh and top notch. Staff is great, and will always make recommendations if you are stuck on a choice. Just don’t call them everyday looking for Nugget Nectar, it makes them irritable. Bottle choices are wide and almost always fresh due again to rapid turnover.

One of the premiere craft beer stores on Long Island. Sits on the Nassau Suffolk border and has a great selection. Must visit!

Visited in November 2011. Unassuming looking place, actually not the most aesthetically pleasing inside, but it’s a beer store so who cares. Very friendly and helpful staff that all seem to know their stuff. Great selection of bottles, Cascade Kriek, Cigar City, Founders, etc. and some nice growlers to be had. I found Spider Bite’s First Bite there on tap which had to have been right after they opened because none of their beers had even been listed here at that point. Great store, worth going out of your way for

Good store for Long Island. Have a bunch of hard to finds and rare stuff, and a great 12 taps (all barrier brews when I went), plus the regular craft lineups a bit weaker on imports. It’s got the warehouse feel and was full of craft beerians. Got some bottles of stuff I’ve been meaning to try and some things I wasn’t. Store and products are obviously well maintained.
