Now, I have a slight bias toward this place, because it’s sort of an institution for the Italian American part of my family. Now that I got that out of the way, I can say objectively that the beer selection is pretty great. The store is a little cramped, but they’re doing the best they can with the space they have (obviously wasn’t designed to be a store like this, "craft beer" wasn’t really a thing 80+ years ago when the store opened). After you get your beer fix, they also have a good selection of wine, cigars, chocolate, and awesome Italian groceries and prepared food. I usually grab some homemade gnochi and noodles imported from the motherland, as well as a sausage or sandwich, to go along with my brews. Overall, a pretty cool spot, one of my favorite in the area.

This place is weird - it’s like an Italian Deli nd large liquor store have been mashed together - the first thing you see when you pull up is a small sandwich shop with some outdoor seating - inside is about 50% liquor store and 50% Italian market - very cramped, very dingy, very New York, really - beer selection is quite impressive - slightly above the Woodman’s in town, with a much more impressive import selection than that store - prices are decent - small mix a six - the only down side is that over half the craft beer is on warm shelves with fluorescent lights beating down on them - just make sure what you’re getting is fresh - service is pretty much non-existent until you ask, but is helpful when you do - interesting place - if you are in town for the Woodman’s, you should probably make a point to come here, as well.

This place is awesome for more than just beer. They have a great selection of meats, cheese, beer, wine, and liquor. There are lots of specialty italian pastries. I am not from Kenosha, but was impressed with their selection of brews. Great place to visit!

Locally owned, great food, and stuff you can’t find just anywhere. My buddy just picked up some Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout, but it sold out that day. Not hard to find yourself spending twice what you intended, then still going back the next week.

If I"m anywhere in the area, I’m stopping in for a panini as it’s one of the best out there. The deli here is excellent and I highly recommend it. The beer selection is not bad either. Mostly domestic six packs and some bombers and euros.

If you couldn’t find something at Woodman’s, you should come on down to this place. Space for beer is a little smaller than Woodman, but it’s just as choice, and their slightly cluttered beer aisles may let you find something that other stores sold out of – in my case, Bell’s Batch 8000. We have Italian delis in my area, but none are any larger than a convenience store. This is a small supermarket, stuffed with essentials like fancy cheeses, wines, meats, pretty much any food item you’d need. Extras include their 75-cent cuppa coffee and the beautiful Italian-American girls working there.

I’m rating the food based on aroma, since my low cholesterol, non-dairy diet made it impossible for me to eat their offerings, although it did make me drool. Nice selection of beers not available in the Chicago area. I only wish they had singles. Very nice.

Does it really matter if they sell beer? Well for a beer web site I suppose but Tenuta’s is about the deli; meats, cheeses, salads, pizzas, imported food, etc. All of which is wonderful. Beer-wise they have an above average selection, esp of WI micros. re-rate: Have not been in awhile but the beer selection has improved. A wall of cigars. They have the 3-L can of olive oil. Nice deli selection of meats and cheeses, Italian. Plus a take-out menu.

Great italian store. If I lived in Kenosha, this might be where I find a lot of my beers, but I would probably run out of new stuff fast. Either way, I have to echo comments about the great Italian meat and cheeses, as well as cigars and other liquors. Good stuff here, and the aroma in the store is amazing... a great memory from my childhood.
