54 Small bar, close to YNWA. Not as interesting as it used to be I am told. They did have a few interesting taps: Edelwiess hefe and Dunkelweizen. and some intereseting bottle beers, so still an ok beer place. |
68 Cafe type setup.
Classic burgers and nachos etc. Decent food.
Reopened this summer, and beer selection has gone down quite a bit. Still has various types though, not sure if they change much over time.

58 Visited several times. Cosy place with armchairs and candlelights. Decent seletion of beers and a superb Chili con Carne.
Re-rated feb. 7th:
A lot of the taps are empty, and the bottleselection has been reduced and is mainstream, though still La Trappe, Rochefort, Orval and Westmalle |
68 Decent selection of beer and aparentlky good food. |
54 Nice place with a decent, if mainstream, beer selection |
46 Nice little bar with good food. Has a spacious upstairs part too. Selection is rather limited compared to shops and YNWA, however with a Chimay Blanche on tap the place can never get really bad. I’ve found one or two new beers here the times I’ve visited the place. |
64 Visited here on 24-10-09. We nipped here after ’You’ll Never Walk Alone’ This was a much quieter place where one could sit and watch the world go by. Nice surroundings, interesting artwork. A reasonable if not exciting beer list, I enjoyed this place, and I suppose it was a good place for couples to go. |
50 Room dominated by a long bar with about 12 taps and a fair selection of bottles. Did not find any I had not tasted though. Also possible to sit in a room upstains and outside in the yard. Beer and food ok although I had to wait for my main course for 40 minutes even if the room was not exactly crowded. The bar maid did not seem to know much about the beers. |
58 Quite good beer bar. A lot of taps. Chimay Tripel, Brooklyn, leffe, Erdinger, etc. Crowded on a friday night. Not nearly as good as the other bar in Kolding (You’ll never walk alone) but one of the 2 bars to visit if in town. When I visited they also had Great Divide Hibernation ale on tap. Alrigth! |
60 Respectable food, a fair selection of tap. The bottles selection is a little mainstream, but this is a really cozy place. Sadly for Republikken, YNWA is tons better. But a good place for a quiz-night. |
