No Longer In Business

An acquired taste. Bartenders can be, well, let's be polite and say "moody." The tavern version of the Seinfeld episode where the soup maker was just a tad intense and overly concerned about what patrons said to him. Walk up to the bar, order your beer and everything will be fine. The establishment itself is in a nice, south side neighborhood and the on-tap selection available is often outstanding and a rival to all other Milwaukee-area bars--though you will pay for the privilege to imbibe here.

Great spot, good beer, cool owner. A solid corner bar with great beer. Owner was happy to talk about beer. Good time.

There are so many craft beer bars in the area that this place went from having a good tap list to being just another craft beer bar with one very bad caveat. That’s the owner, Mike Romans. He’s an asshole and there’s simply no beer that will make me and several people I know ever want to walk through those doors again. Sure he might have some rare stuff on once in awhile but he’ll charge you an arm and a leg and rip off your throat with his shitty attitude. Go somewhere else!

Great selection of taps and it sounds like this place gets all the hard to get brews. It was a blast talking with the owner Mike and I look forward to stopping by again.

Great beer bar with knowledgeable if gruff proprietor. No food, but really good beer selection and an awesome deck with cigars also available. Looking for a casual place to try some beer and/or cigars varieties, this place rocks!

Best bar in Milwaukee!!! No ball wash or bullsh*t here!!

If visiting from out-of-state this should be your first stop. Nice comfortable pub feel. Love the beer garden. Only domestic craft beers and quality imports. Always an impressive tap list. When you are there you know everyone else around you is like-minded in their enjoyment of good beer. Love that they have TVs so you can enjoy a game and still drink a decent beer. Wish I lived closer to it but lucky I do not, as I would spend all my time and money here.

Certainly worthy of the Top 100 beer bars as rated in Draft Magazine. Mike’s a straight shooter and very knowledgeable. This will be a regular stop when I’m in Milwaukee.

Awesome place to go. Mike always has a great selection of craft beers.
