Small cafe restaurant, only around 20 seats. Atmosphere is pleasant laid back and the service is very friendly. Food is decent, short belgian inspired menu, with the obligatory Moules Frites and Steak Frites, plus a few beer-based sauces including Maredsous and Duvel. Beer choice is very good, 30+ bottled beers plus 4-5 on top including at least 4-5 seasonal beers. Usually have Rocheforts, Orval and St Bernardus available. Not many true rarities but you can’t expect that in the north of england! Beers are served well, generally in the right glass and nicely chilled but not ice cold. All in all a nice place for a pleasant meal and a few good beers.
