72 Ok stop in. WIFI available. Decent selection. Nice cozy downstairs bar area excellent for drinkiing beer on a cold rainy day. If you have only one stop in the area there are several brewpubs nearby. If you want to sit down and relax with a beer this is a good place for that. People beside me ordered chowder. They said it was great. It was a huge portion that neither of them could finish. |
74 Decent beer selection, good oysters, knowledgeable service |
60 A local place, but I hardly ever go there. If you were coming from out of town this is a decent place to try some regional craft beers, no other place in town has more. However, as a local it is deeply disappointing as there is rarely anything available that cannot be bought for less at the provincial liquor store. The food here is good, but a bit overpriced and overworked for pub food. Fois gras poutine? Draft is $7 a pint, which is probably the highest price in town, but that’s what you pay for a trendy/touristy kind of place. I’ve found service is a little inconsistent, especially if it is busy. |
72 Visited on a very very wet Thursday eve. Nice enough old style wooden panel type place, pretty quiet except for the rock classics on the stereo. Not my local area but good looking beer selection on tap and bottles, tasty food and the young lady serving was very helpful. Expensive (even coming from London) but that may be a Canada issue I suspect. |
