72 Came here pretty much for the express purpose of drinking Moonlight beers, and one of their dubiously categorised malt liquors. Anyway, it’s a funny place to have a beer, because it is an Italian restaurant and laid out like one. They do have a bar, but you are surrounded by people and dining tables (although, during our visit, there were only a handful of diners). The value was pretty good. The service was good, and the folks behind the bar didn’t seem to mind that a group of c. 15 men were sharing five pints between them. This place is definitely not a destination worth seeking out, but I suppose if you’re spending some time in the Santa Rosa area you could pop in here for a meal and a beer. It is kind of cool to see an Italian restaurant with an interesting selection of beers. |
60 Flavor is an Italian restaurant that happens to have some moonlight beers on tap. They weren’t expecting to receive a bunch of drunken ratebeerians looking for whale malt liquor ticks but that’s what they got. The food actually looks pretty good. |
76 Visited here during the RB best festival weekend to try all of the Moonlight beers on tap. Sat at the bar and got some of the best service I’ve ever had. Prices were reasonable and they had roughly six of the Moonlight’s on tap, which is unbeatable in the area. |
68 Flavor Bistro is an Italian restaurant in downtown Santa Rosa, right around the corner from both Third Street Aleworks and Russian River. We popped in on our first night in SR for the first RB Best Awards & Festival because all six taps were devoted to Moonlight (Toast! Reality Czech! Death & Taxes!). So I crushed a few pints of some long-time wants with some other RB bros standing around the bar, while only a few tables in this otherwise quiet Italian restaurant were taken. The food looked excellent but I didn’t parttake. Beers were $5.25 for a pint, if memory serves. Bartender was definitely not pleased with the nature and behavior of our group, which was by no means out of line but unconventional for this place. But the second one I ordered, a half pint, got put in a full glass. He said it was because they were low on the other glasses but I think he liked me and VsXsV for actually buying pints. If you’re looking for Moonlight beers and/or good Italian food, swing by here. |
66 Not really a place where you come only to drink beer, but really a fancier, sitdown restaurant. They did however accommodate our fairly large group of bros who just wanted to stand by the bar and tick. They had fiveish beers on draught, which of several were from Moonlight. I was there for Toast (Slightly Burnt). Service was nice enough for most of the time, however the bartender at times seemed frustrated and unnecessarily slow, maybe since we weren’t dinner guests and therefore result in lower tips. He did however way overpour mine and phaleslu’s half pints, while still charging the standard amount. Prices were generally reasonable for the beers. Decor felt a bit tired, typical ’90s Italian restaurant. Good for stoping by and finding many Moonlight ticks at once, but eating might be worth doing here as well. |
66 Stopped in here to try a few Moonlight beers late on a Friday night. The place was fairly empty, so the staff were happy to accommodate our group, even though were weren’t interested in eating. There were roughly 5 beers on tap, Toast (Slightly Burnt) being the highlight. Prices were reasonable. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. The tap selection kept me interested and the staff were kind. It’s a great food option if Russian River is too hectic. |
70 More of a nice restaraunt than anything else. It does have a bar area but not the kind of place you would normally drink at. They are known to have the best selection of Moonlight beers on tap. If you are looking for Moonlight or a decent meal this is a decent stop. |
70 We rolled in after the over packed mess at RR. Not expecting what we walked into a nice looking Italian restaurant not a beer place at all. We sat down and ordered all the beers on the list. the staff was very nice and not to disappointed we didn’t order food. |
64 This place was serving a rare malt likka tick, with that said herds of tickers descended upon the staff chanting Toast Toast Toast. They had several other Moonlight beers on tap as well. Somehow the staff didn’t throw us vagrants out as its couldn’t have been easy with only 3 pints being ordered to share between dozen or more folks. Really was a nice place, but tickers are going to tick. Luckily no one realized they had free bread for patrons. |
68 Italian restaurant and the food looked good. Great place to try several Moonlight beers on tap, though not really a beer joint. |
