Un des seuls endroit où je peux cueillir des vins du Jura, c’est déjà beaucoup. Sélection de bière réduite mais pleine de surprises et un staff avec des connaissances diversifiés.

Large industrial wine space, not too far from Stearns. Stearns is the better beers stop, and I figured as much going into it. They did have a surprisingly good selection of beer, which I was not expecting. Service was friendly. Very few beers were refrigerated. That said, this place has a stupidly good selection of European wines (one of the best in LA County). Some harder to find German wines and a good selection of hard to get Italians as well. Go here for the wine, the beer is an added bonus.

Warehouse type store, very open floor plan. Beer is all off to the left when you enter. Certainly more of a wine store than anything else, but they do have a decent beer selection (and a small spirits selection). A small collection of beers in a cooler and one wall of cans and bottles out on the shelves. All items are available as singles, which is nice. They have sort of the standard imports from Belgium and Germany with a few random ones thrown in there as well, but not super extensive...a few Mikkeller beers. Sort of the same story for the US micros. Lots of local beers and the more usual suspects like Golden Road, Firestone, Drakes, Ballast Point, etc. Some random products from other states like North Peak and Cisco. Overall a decent shop, but you’ll probably have a much better time finding what you want at Stearns which is just a few blocks away. Friendly and fairly knowledgeable staff, at the very least.

Wine Country 71. A cool Warehouse Wine and spirits store with a small, quality selection of beers. Seems like someone hand-selects these bottles, because the quality is high, and the quantity low. Overall decent, but I’d be willing to bet that there are better stores that have the selection of this place but with two the three times more choices overall. In my opinion, no matter how nice the “selection,” I’d like it to be my choice whether I get a $30 bottle of Cuvee de Tomme, or just a solid sixer of Green Flash West Coast IPA (which they didn’t carry).

Eh, not so bad. It seems kinda like a converted industiral building, kinda austere. It has an expansive wine selection, and, while probably a 10th of the size of the wine, a great beer selection. Stone, Green Flash, Ayinger etc. Definitely a place to go if you know what you want, but not so great for browsing.

This is a wine store that has a decent selection of beers in the back on warm shelves. They have some high quality selections at decent prices, including: Lebe L’Amalthee, 3 Chouffes, 6 Unibrous, 6 Lost Abbeys, Stone, Belzebuth, Des Rocs Grand Cru, St. Bernardus Prior 8, Triple and Abt 12, Alesmith, RR Collaboration, and others. Merritt orders the beer.
