Vast open space with a few standard Belgian beers on tap. Food is fine but everything here is too expensive. A couple of Hoegaardens, two main courses, goodbye $100. They also don’t have all the bottles on their own bottle list!

Nice place, all Belgian beers and food, even felt like Brussels. Belgian bar staff too. Most of the big Belgians available on either tap or bottle. Long bar, with seats, massive eating area.

Visited on July 16, 2013.
Big place, lots of indoors seating. Rather high prices. Minimum $20 to pay with card, no WiFi. Didn’t eat.
Mainly Belgian beers, and expensive at that. As a European visiting, you can probably find these beers fresher and a lot less expensive closer to home. As an Australian I guess it might carry some more weight in what you can find and are willing to pay for.
Decent service, though I only stayed for one cider I hadn’t tried before and then walked over to nearby Harts instead.

A Belgian beer bar in Australia? I wasn’t expecting much, but this place is just pathetic. 8 drafts of all crap, Stella Artois and etc. Bottles consisted of Chimay and a few Timmerman’s. Insult to the words Belgian beer bar, don’t even come by despite being about 2 minutes from Hart’s.

Nice and appealing place, with a decent range of beers. Good but predictable food. Worth visiting at least once.

Dark wood, mirrors, piles of nice glassware. Smells of mussels and chips. Looks good, high ceilings and hard surfaces make the place a bit loud. There’s good beer to be had and some that you don’t see much of on tap in Australia, and a fine albeit expensive and predictable bottle list. The full pseud’s rigmarole of these places is adhered to - correct glass is squirted over a spigot, the head is cut with a foam scraper, the outside of the glass is dunked in a sink to clean the outside of the glass after the pour - but hang on, my beer smells like utter crap because many other glasses have been ritually so dunked and 80% of them were of Stella.

Nice pleasant atmosphere and setting. Selection of beers is great, nearly all the Belgians you could want (aside from the Westvletern ;). A bit pricy as to be expected in the Rocks but worth it for the beer. The staff generally know their stuff when it comes to beer. Certianly worth a visit

No surprises on the beer list (Rodenbach is as adventurous as it gets), but I’d still rather have a night out here than most CBD venues. It’s a spacious, high-ceilinged building which helps ease the noise of having so many people in there on any typical night. The staff are generally helpful and efficient. The food is well made, if a little predictable. And even if there’s nothing new to rate, at least you can console yourself with a Rochefort 10, Chimay Bleu or Gouden Carolus.

Great building and, despite being quite large, is actually quite cosy to sit in. It can get full power-trippers on weeknights, but otherwise it’s really very pleasant. The food a nice range of stereotypical Belgian with some ’normal’ stuff thrown in. Unfortunately both beer and food are pricey - but that’s what you get for the location and the size of the place. Worth checking out, especially to catch up on some beligian beers.

Food’s alright, but it’s basically the same as the one in Melbourne only without the great garden. What’s the point?
