Another stop I made a long my way up to Vermont. When I went in, I couldn’t believe I saw what I saw, the selection was spectacular as a lot of high end beers were there, Ballast Point, Alesmith, Pizza Boy, and a stellar high end selection internationally as well. Holy crap, pleasant surprise with a bit of a rougher ambiance, but I didn’t mind. It’s all about the beer and service. Two different workers asked me if I was looking for anything which was nice but usually I don’t always need that. I’d probably make this a go to stop more as I make my way between Vermont and PA.

Since I’m only in Troy very seldom it is usually a pleasurable visit to Hoosick as roughly half the store is new product to me. The growler purchase from the taps is a hit or miss proposition as there are 4 taps, but at times it’s a great option. Don’t expect a shiny store with polished floor, it’s got that working man decor, very comfortable.

Like other stores in the area, it’s a warehouse atmosphere. Decent selection, but not much special. Not all that impressed, but it has enough to be a regular place. Just don’t plan to do any beer hunting here. Westmere and Olivers are better for selection.

This is (was) one of my regular suppliers. Stone, Bear Republic, Weyerbacher, Mendocino, Smuttynose, Victory, plus may Belgian, German, and English brews. I’ve gotten to know the staff personally. They are helpful to their customers and enthusiastic about their products.

When I have the "pleasure" of going to Troy, NY, I try to stop by here. I’m usually able to find quite a bit of stuff I can’t get in the midwest that is tasty. DFH, Victory, some Magic Hat. They’ve got a pretty good selection of singles. If you have to be in Troy, this place is worth a stop.
