Here it is, the home of Germany’s strongest beers. But don’t expect too much, this is not a well hidden cafe in the belgian tradition offering loads of rare and strong beers! It turns out to be a simple bavarian Landgasthof with only one house beer (Schorschbräu Hell) on tap. The announced Dunkel came from Wallerstein and the strong liquors are only available to take away. Only worth a stop if You are around.

My wife and I spend the night, had dinner, drank the tap beers and bought the 13% Donner beers in this very rural brewpub. Cheap, typical German food: huge portions but also tasty. We were the only guests in the simple but clean and cheap guesthouse. Friendly service. An elderly woman greeted us with the words "A, da sind die Holländer". Tap beers are tasty but nothing special. Recommended for a night stop underway to the south (or north).
