Pizza is good, but their beer is very mediocre. The interior of the place is nice. Thats pretty much all i can say about this place.

(Visited 02/2008): This BJ’s location is on Stockton Highway in Bakersfield at Riverwalk Park, not too far from Cal State Bakersfield. There is a large lot that BJ’s and a couple other restaurants use and it was packed on a Saturday evening. The interior is pretty similar to other BJ’s locations. Large and open, with TVs everywhere and a big garage door to isolate an area if necessary. The bar is on the left side of the restaurant and features a lot of TVs, including one large LCD that is split into 6 screens. Lots of mirrors and glass everywhere. The beer selection is pretty much the same as at other locations. There are 7 beers available year round plus a seasonal. They also make their own root beer. The beers are available in a sampler. Service here was pretty good for a large party on a Saturday evening. The waitress had a good handle on what the beers were and what the seasonal was. BJ’s food is consistently good, if pricey. I got a mini pizza that was almost $10, but it was tasty. Overall I would probably choose Lengthwise over BJ’s in Bakersfield because BJ’s is a chain and the prices are higher, but you really won’t find much wrong with either.

If you’ve been to one BJ’s you’ve pretty much been to them all. Regulars are fair to good. Seasonals are not very good I’ve had probably 5 or 6 of them now. This place to me is worth visiting because of the guest beers and bottle selection. And now that happy hour starts at 3 it’s the time to go because the place is slow. And the food is probably the best part of the visit so order a pizza and stick to the red or the stout.

Very busy new place, great food, had SN Octoberfest, and Lindeman’s Framboise on tap, as well as 8 or 9 BJs beers, and lots of bottles!
