76 Pretty expensive but was often the only real option if waiting for a movie. I almost never had beer here, the selection was so average. Food was great. Closed Spring 2011. |

Cozy place with a really nice selection of American and a few European as well. Good service and the possibility of having small taste sampes. Good food at OK prices. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. |

54 below average beer bar, good food, very expensive |
62 Had dinner at the place. Pretty cheap parking for Hollywood. Odd interior theme. Service was a bit slow and the waiter seemed like he was out to sell something. Tap list was good for a restaurant, but not very good for an LA beer bar. Food was good but not great. Not a bad place, but I will not be going back too often. |
76 I like this place and for some reason i end up there from time to time, but with Blue Palms just down the road, i often wonder why.
A lot of good and rotating taps, very nice menu. The decor is... bohemian? Gypsy? not sure exactly but its all over the place. it is comfy, but the staff doesn’t know a lot or care a lot about beer.
I heard its the same owner as Verdugo and Surly Goat - I guess thats how they get all those great beers. had Hop Stoopid on tap, which I’ve never seen in the LA area.
Any way, no problem with this place it just isn’t the bees knees for me. |
84 Went here for my friends surprise birthday party. Pretty cool little spot. As mspindler stated it is a bit trendy inside but it is a good atmosphere. The beer selection was really good. This was actually my second time here. I had Avery Maharaja, Stone 13th Anniversary. They also had some Cuvee De Tomme 375ml. The food is a bit pricey but really good, the service was excellent. I would go back for sure. |
80 Location seems to be working against the ambience. Big WIndows to the outside but the inside is library-esque.
Service is attentive but not over the top.
Great selections by Ryan Sweeney. Dogfish Head on tap! and Rogue too. Nice mix of California, Oregon and International.
Like that the food is not pub grub and they have 1/2 price Tuesdays.
I will be back. |
84 This was a pretty impressive new Gastropub. Kind of trendy inside, apparently it’s Bohemian themed. Either way it looks pretty cool. A decent bar area and plenty of seating. not particularly big but roomy and pretty quiet. Our server was fantastic and knew the beers. Beer selection was good, about 20 or so taps and a small but impressive bottle list. I had Port Hop 15, Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek, Oscar Blues Ten Fidy, Stone Dry Hopped Old Guardian, and Avery/Russian River Collaboration Not Litigation. All were served properly. Food was all pretty good. A little pricey ($14 for a personal pizza). Overall, a good new spot. |
