Off the beaten path and worth finding. Their beer seldction emphasizes local craft brews. Food is good, if not outstanding. Servers are alert and helpful. Drop in and howl.

Visited December 7, 2013.

We walked here from the Washington St tram stop after stopping at Acoustic and 57 Degrees. India Street here is kind of busy so there is a lot of foot traffic to stop in here. I wasn’t expecting much considering how despite this much foot traffic it was pretty quiet but I was very impressed.

The beer list reminds me a bit of Beachwood BBQ both in that they use the little chalk boards (and have a webcam pointed at them) and that it’s an eclectic list that rotates often. I saw some Green Flash, Rip Current, and Modern Times hoppy beers as well as some Belgian styles (and real Belgians) from Allagash, Bavik, and Leifmans. So even if there aren’t a lot of people in here you can definitely find a good beer to drink. The prices aren’t amazing but considering the selection they aren’t bad, hovering around $6 a pint for some stuff and more for some of the other stuff. The food looked good but I didn’t actually eat anything. It’s mostly sausages with some appetizers available. If I make it back to the area (to stop in at Acoustic again for example) I’ll make sure to try the food.

A cozy little bar with nothing fancy and some good local beers on tap. A decent selection but nothing particularly geek worthy when I went. A good neighborhod beer bar in SD, but not a top destination.

The only beer bar in my neighborhood but I still don’t find myself frequenting it all too often, but I do stop in every other month or so. Decent rotating tap selection that always has something I’m in the mood for but never anything too rare or amazing. They specialize in sausages too and have a varied selection, all of which are very tasty...they also have wings, etc. Last time I was in there was a trivia night, I think it was a Tuesday, they place was packed...but the crowd is never the beer geek crowd, at least not anyone I’ve ever seen around before. That all being said, its nice to have a place like this so close to home.
