This is right up the street from Nicky V’s Pizzeria, both places that I had to add to the site here. It’s great that people are rating the beers but no one seems to give a crap about the place listing, so how is an out of towner supposed to find the good beer places? Anyway, this is a small brewery hidden in the back of a strip mall next to the Sushi King. When I went it happened to be open mic night. So anyone can get up on stage and try their hand at stand up. Only saw a couple of acts, which weren’t very good, but it was entertaining if nothing else. They had a dozen beers on; six regular and six seasonal. Definitely some interesting stuff on the seasonal menu. Two pumpkin beers, a beer with cactus (prickly pear), and something called Drunken Hobo Milk Stout. The cactus was purple. Very weird. I didn’t get a good look at the brewery but this has to be a very small operation as everything was in 5 gallon kegs and they were using chest freezers to store the kegs in. Cool place, nice people, but the beer isn’t very good. |
