56 I'm the sole player at 6pm on a Tuesday night. The location is a puzzler, very 'local' and well off the beat tourist trails (albeit still in the broader 'down-town' area). Very nice and modern inside, very much a restaurant feel rather than a bar of any description. 5 house beers on tap. Whilst this might a tap house for the 3 Bears 'Brewery' I'm 99% sure the beer is brewed O/S (probably Laos or Australia) given legal restrictions on low production volumes. Didn't eat but had a few beers - Pale Ale quite good but the IPA was missing the necessary character. Fair play at the price (about 260 baht for a ~400ml pour). Menu is nearly entirely Western; looked ok and fair pricing. 999 baht for 'all-you-can-drink' beers! Haven't seen these types of promos since my Uni days!! |
60 A fairly big modern brewpub with four of their own beers on when I visited but little soul to it. The beers are decent average, available in flights of 4. It’s worth a stop off between
other places but not as a destination in itself. Boring bar lacking the Thai craft passion. |
64 Within walking distance of the cluster of hotels in Sukhuvuit, people unfamiliar with Bangkok (like me) may be a bit skeeved out by the street this place resides. But once inside, aside from the young Thai staff, you might think you're in an upstart American brewpub. They had 4 of their flagship brews on tap (all pretty good!) plus Leffe, Stella and some other Euro macro. We ordered some fries off the seemingly US-driven pub menu ... They were OK. We were the only people in the joint on a Tuesday evening, so the two young waitresses were super responsive. Brewery #8XX. |
54 Not too far from Sukhumvit Rd, this is a nice little restaurant with a full menu. Only four taps when I went: two of their own, two guests (both Brewdog), though they were out of one of their own. 240 baht ($9 CAD) a beer, or 190 baht during happy hour (4-7pm) - pricey even for Bangkok, especially given it’s their own beers. Friendly service and the one beer I had of theirs (the stout) was very good. Worth a stop when in the area. |
68 Nice place, a little hard to find but I’ve corrected the address on Ratebeer so now it’s on the right place on the map. Hoppy hour 4-7pm all their beers 190 baht. They only seem to serve their own beers. |
72 Just 1km from Asok BTS, this place is well worth the walk. It’s a slightly rustic, woody brick concrete place but modern and stylish. Service is first rate as is the food. Their own beers were rather good and the wifi worked perfectly. I’d certainly come back for the food alone. |
66 Incredible find between Queen Sirikit and Sukhumvit MRT stations, the route is a bit convoluted and difficult to describe, but Google Maps takes you there. A real brewpub with 5 beers on tap, good food menu, upscale decoration, live music and no customers at 9:30 pm! Apparently it opened last August, and high priced but worth a visit. |
