68 Last visited in Dec 2011 I think, so it may have evolved quite a bit since then. Struck me as a fairly well-chosen selection, including less common stuff from Senne and Struise. I would not say the prices were high, more like random. Some seemed cheap, others overpriced. Guy behind the counter had worked in local beer bars and knew his stuff. |
70 it’s nice to have an extra shop in brussels selling the sweet stuff. Also they do discount for locals which is pretty nice, but price is still a bit too high, understandable knowing the location etc.. i still support them once in a while with buying some Belgian beers |
86 excellent beershop with two real amateurs behind the counter. Some classic belgium beers and a few unknown brews... |
66 Store located right on the Place du Jeu de balle square (a nice spot to browse the weekly antique market) and down the street from Restobières.
Nice and clean interior with a fairly decent selection of beers although I did not spot anything unusual. Owner was nice.
My only issue is just how expensive the place is, even more so than Beer Planet.
His 3F Schaerbeekse Kriek was 32€ which is a hefty premium from the 9€ original price. Even some regular beers quickly go in the 4€/bottle for what should be 2€. Some of them are even higher than Delirium. Same applied to Cantillon which is a few minutes away or Struise.
It’s a nice new place to visit if you are in the area. I’d visit it again, but as long as the price stay where they are, I’ll limit myself to just browsing his selection. |
