Great place with strong selection of Belgians and darker beers. Mark and Frank are wonderful and the fact that there’s a beer list on the wall now makes it easier to find the brew of your choice. Some bartenders are more knowledgeable than others and all are generous with tastes and advice.

Great spot for some good times. The ever changing tap list makes each visit a new experience. From my first visit nearly 2 tears ago till present the food selection and quality has improved to perfection.. The comfortable feel, and friendly clientele make Pitcher’s a true destination spot.

Found this hidden gem while searching a rival site that rhymes with beerTadvocate. As we pulled up and spotted a tiny bar, I was getting ready to feel the wrath of my wife for suggesting we drive 40 minutes to check it out, but when we opened the door I immediately knew it would be worth it. A nice crowd was present, along with an acoustic one man band who was pretty good. Twenty two domestic and international taps greeted us (Left Hand, Storm, Ayinger, Speakeasy, Avery and many more), as well as a cask of Ipswich IPA they had tapped for the evening. They also had a long list of bottles. No beer menu available, but the bartender pointed out the draft and bottle menus on the walls. Decent pub fare and I washed it down with some west coast brews. They also have a couple of meads available. The staff were cool even though the place was packed, and both owners seemed to know everyone besides us in the place, but we weren’t treated as outsiders, which has happened to me a few other times I walked into a neighborhood bar in search of some fine beer. I also liked that it was an older crowd (at 31 I was one of the younger ones in the place), instead of the Mews where you have to deal with obnoxious college kids while enjoying your beer. Would definitely go back when I am in that part of the state again.

The best beer bar in Rhode Island! They have 21 craft beers on tap at all times, as well as a good selection of bottled beers. They usually have 3 or more Belgian beers on tap. I believe they will have a cask ale beer engine soon too. Although places like The Muse in southern Rhode Island do have more taps, they don’t change the selection often. This place changes one or more beers almost daily. They also have great bar food. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. This is a great place to hang out and try a new beer.

Place is in the middle of nowhere. I’ve been twice. Very friendly atmosphere and the owner is very willing to talk beer. Tap selection was huge and included St. Bernardus Abt. 12, Oskar Blues Ten Fidy, Thomas Hooker Liberator, and Southern Tier Un-earthly. Mix of locals and beer geeks. Will defintely come back sooner rahther than later.
