The best of an unscientific trawl round the Old Quarter and the nascent vietnamese craft scene. Had a passion fruit flavoured pale ale and a (slighly more successful) dark lager both of which were very drinkable without being outstanding. Food looked OK and good to sit on the balcony and watch the bustle of Hang Be beneath. NOTE - the marker on the map is nowhere near the real location; look for Le Pub on the map and then Caps and Taps is 30 yards away on the same street.

At last, craft beer bar in Hanoi! Centrally located with a nice balcony overlooking the street below. Friendly service. Two "Lindemanns" beers on tap, a Bock and a Gold. Both fake I suspect! The interesting thing is that they claim to have at least 20 of Vietnams finest craft micro brewed beers at any one time. They actually had 12 cans/bottles and a couple of local beers on tap too. Vietnam’s finest craft beers? Well most of the beers here you can find in a convenience store. Not the cheapest place in Vietnam but cheap by European standards. Solid wifi. Decent food. I’ve probably found my Hanoi "local" which isn’t saying much, but they need more and better beers for sure.
