Absolut must stop. Odd smell when i came in which a regular attributed to some painting work. Mostly his taps and lots of them. Absolutely perfect carbonation and temperature beating 95% of all bars i have ever been to. Every beer approachable and well executed. An inexpensive and enjoyable place.

Very cool brewery, love the beer. Nice little tavern style place.

So it’s been 3 or so weeks since I went here with my wife, Dany, his wife, and his brother for the 6th anniversary party. I did not want to write this immediately after the event because I was very torn about what to write. The place itself is great, but the event was a bit of a mess for a while. I’m not even going to write much about the event, aside from mentioning that it was poorly run and very frustrating at times. I feel the majority of the time that someone comes here, they’ll experience it the way the place is the rest of the year. According to everyone I talked to, the usual atmosphere is very laid back, with a handful of people hanging around at the bar and ample couches, and drinking pours of the great tap list. They offer pours in varying sizes, down to a 4oz pour which is quite welcome with such a large taplist. The beers are great, the space is cool, and the staff (when not overwhelmed) were very nice. I’d love to come back here sometime on a normal day and just hang out for a while.

Bel endroit visité lors de leur 6e anniversaire. Choix de bière de qualité impressionnant. Ambiance et décor un peu taverne mais qui a son charme. Un endroit à revisiter.

Bowery-esque appearance inside - an older bar, very little seats, but some great music and cult movies being projected. Fred makes time for EVERYONE - the place was jam packed and he still took time to talk, serve, etc. The locals are pretty friendly even if most had a bit of trouble with my English., Only HOST beer on tap, but a good number of them including some rarer samples. Bring your own food - Fred doesn’t cook. I enjoyed a few servings of what was on tap and took away many bottles for a very manageble dollar amount.

Sublime place for real beer lovers. Ambiance is ok. World class liquids are brewed there. You sometimes feel like disturbing the brewmaster (That prevent me to give a higher score for Service) but when you have a chance to talk brew with that guy. Wow. He knows...

Bâtiment commercial ayant, semble-t-il, servi à plusieurs commerces avant que la brasserie ne s’y installe. L’endroit est petit, mais son aménagement fait en sorte qu’il fait bon y prendre une bière. Ambiance musicale assumée. Bières servies par le brasseur lui-même et bues en compagnie de quelques habitués de l’endroit. Bières offertes en fût ou en bouteilles, pour consommation sur place ou pour emporter. Endroit sympathique.

La brasserie était fermée mais le proprio m’a montré la place et j’ai pu acheter quelques beer en bouteilles qui sont franchement excellente...à retourner quand c’est ouvert !!

Un samedi en début d’après-midi, nous avons téléphoner à la brasserie Hopfenstark pour avonr de l’information sur les heures d’ouverture et la nourriture accessible. Enthousiastes, nous sommes partis pour notre 1iere visite dans un micro-brasserie! À notre arrivée à la brasserie, nous avons eu l’impression de dérranger le propriétaire qui ne semblait pas vraiment vouloir arrêter son occupation présente, qui était celle de démonter son vélo à l’extérieur, pour venir nous servir. Nous étions les seuls client à ce moment. Il a démontré aucun interet, nous a rien suggéré, nous a donné aucune information sur ses bière.... Nous avons dû lui demander si nous le dérrangions... d’un sourir narcoit, il a répondu "non"....sans rien ajouter...Bref, nous avons pris la bière take-out (celles qui étaient disponible!) et nous l’avons bû ailleurs en meilleur compagnie. Comme première visite dans une micro-brasserie locale, nous avons étés très très très décus. Nos plans étaient d’y passer la fin de l’après-midi et la soirée, tout en discutant avec le proprio. Grosse déception!!!!

Very nice place, ambiance is incredible, the service was very good with a good selection of beers. Beer quality was good and inspired great beersin the future. Food was delicious and not too expensive.
