Took a bit of wandering around to find. Quick friendly service, but very early on a Sunday evening. They had six of their own beers on tap, and I think a selection of internal bottled beers. Their own beers are reasonable, but generally not exceptional. They are however very much better than pretty much everything else around, so well worth searching out. The ambience is OK. At one end it is clearly a restaurant. At the other end there’s a regular bar in front of brewing equipment. There’s a few cute touches, but it seemed to lack character - then again it was early on a Sunday evening. I didn’t try the food but it was tempting. The flight of six 150ml beers for 400 rupee seemed to me to be good value. Well worth a visit.

Bit hard to find, at the end of a dead streat. Quite lively on a Thursday evening, lots of youngsters and the occassional expat. Service could be better, but still friendly. Nachos were INdian style, quite nice actually. Taste all 5 beers on tap, did not like the witbier, topped the IPA. OK for next visit.

Visited my first brewpub in India on 15.12.2015. It is located quite centrally in Bombay, however was still difficult to find. Nice pub with long bar and very visible brewhouse. They had 6 beers brewed on site and around 10 bottle beers. Own beers are drinkable. I tasted a Pale Ale, the British IPA (was the best one) and a Milk Stout. Service was very friendly and good to see India also has brewpubs.

I am going low on the selection as honestly when I was there in 2013 they had just opened, and the Blonde Bombay Bombshell (provisional name) was just barely available. Food selection for lunch was an amazing variety, and the staff was very friendly. A bit hard to find, but worth the journey.

not sure if I’m being harsh with my rating, I’m judging it by same standards I would anywhere else in the world. It’s far and away the best drinking establishment I’ve visited in India - but that’s not hard, seeing as most of the others were kiosks with a curtained-off piss-stained area to stand with your bottles!

Went their mainly for the beer and was not disappointed at all. The brew is magnificent and I would love to have it on regular basis. I tried all of them and the taste brought a big smile on my face. The food is good and goes well with the beer. The music is good and at a perfect volume. The best thing about this place is the beer and good ambience to go with it. Service is quick and responsive, nice place to spend time with you friends and heaven for beer lovers. Must visit place for all he beer lovers.

Solid place, best in India for sure. Tried a bit of their upcoming Masala ale; great flavor and sure will be a hit for their upcoming event.

Funny...I was just here on 3/29/14...could have had the first review...lol...but waited till I got back to the US to write it. First, I was impressed with this place...and let me say that I find myself wanting to review it compared to other India craftbeer places vs those from more established craft beer regions like the UK and US as I usually do. If I did that I would probably rate this place in the 80"s based on what they have accomplished compared to other India brewpubs (I visited Striker and Vapour in Gurgaon and drank Gateway Brewing’s beers on this trip...The Barking Deer is quite a bit better than those). I was fortunate to meet one of the assistants to the brewer...Raissa...and she was very helpful giving me the history and goals of the establishment. While visiting twice I got to try the Bombay Blonde Ale and the Barking Deer IPA...the English style IPA being my favorite. Unfortunately they were out of the Flying Pig Belgium Wit but I was able to try a special Apple Pie Ale (don’t remember the exact name) that was very good with a nice apple and cinnimon flavor. The atmsphere is very nice here...including outside seating...and the copper brewing equipment is gorgeous. This place can be hard for the taxi driver to find...but just tell them take you to the blueFrog (across the alley) and you’ll find it...plus you can try the Gateway Brewing beers at the Frog. All in all I expect these guys to do well if they can maintain their finances while building a strong following. I wish them the best of luck.
