Visited while doing an orchestra gig in the area in February. Is now called "Helga’s."

Nice quaint little place that is clean, well-lit, and has a certain German flare. Nice beer garten, but I didn’t sit there.

My waitress/bartender was prompt, friendly, knew the menu, and was all around pretty good.

The beer selection is a small amount of German stuff, but I was able to find something I hadn’t had.

The food was delicious!

Even though the food was delicious, it was a bit pricey. I was there for lunch and with my beer I dropped almost 20 bucks.

Overall... where else are you going to stop when you’re in this area? It’s worth it to try if you like German food, German beer, and don’t mind dropping a buck or two.

I’m pretty sure this is called "Helga’s" now. Even after the ownership change, this is the only "legitimate" German restaurant in town. Good selection of German food and beer, I’ve never had horrible service, but the hours aren’t conducive to just coming in and drinking. It’s a restaurant first and foremost with the bar a distant second in their priority.

Very nice pub/restaurant in a strip mall. I had a very good soup (can’t recall the name) and a Kostrtzer draft. beer garden in the back.

After living in Germany for 3 years, finding this place was a God-send! Run by a Kölner (Dierck, from Köln, Germany), the food is authentic and delicious. The Beer is plentiful and served correctly in quality glassware. The wine selection is fantastic and served in the traditional German style. The staff is friendly and courteous, but they don’t speak a word of German! Many Germans live in the area and frequent the place on a regular basis (that tells me a good bit about the quality!). The decor reminds me of the many Gasthauses we enjoyed during our 3 year European tour. Vielen Dank, Bitburger!
