Nice, classy establishment. Did not order any food, so I was in the bar and rated a some of their beers. Met Anthony Carollo, Head Brewer, and he rolled out the red carpet during this visit. Not only did I enjoy first class, top notch service from Anthony, but also from the rest of the bar servers. They were all very interested in my hobby of rating beers and were inquisitive as to what my thoughts were of the beers that I was rating. This is what makes this hobby so much fun. The people such as Anthony and the bar staff talking beer and beer rating. Gotta love it! Will definitely revisit this establishment again and hopefully have a meal the next time. Thanks again, Anthony and staff! Job well done and very much appreciated!

Nice very trendy type place...service was slow but the bartender was nice...they were out of their light beer...awww....the beers were all decent enough session beers and the amber I thought was really good...the food was good, but my chicken was a little dry and bland...if you are in the area, worth a visit, but if not don’t bother.

(04.24.06) My family and I visited the brewpub on a Monday, late afternoon, for lunch. With the lunch crowd gone, we had the place to ourselves. Surroundings of dark wood, leather, and soft lighting, the brewpub had a comfortable clubby feel to it. The menu was superb and we enjoyed crab cakes, BBQ ribs, pasta ariabiata, and Brass candy dessert. We also sampled the following six beers on tap: Hunter’s honey wheat, Anytime amber ale, Anticipation ale, Pals Porter, Lunker lager, and Marzen amber lager. While all of the beers complemented the food, I particularly enjoyed the Pals Porter and Anticipation ale. The food, beer, and service were all excellent. We stopped by the brewing section afterwards and had a nice chat with brewmaster Anthony Carollo. Brass is a great place for food and beer. It is also child-friendly. I am looking forward to my next visit to Brass.

Good points on presentation, a sampler flight is a massive spiraled cast-iron thing with spaces for each beer. And affordable for what you got. The menu and atmosphere is a bit more yuppified than I’d espect in a microbrewery, though.

A bit too pretend "nouveau-upscale" for me, and the beer wasn’t spectacular, but all in all, I thought the presentation was very nice and the beer was inexpensive for the kind of place it is. It’s worth the stop.

This is pretty nice joint. It really is a great atmosphere and the food is for the most part very good. I really enjoy the arabiatta pasta (spelling?) and just about anything else that my wife has gotten I enjoyed. Fairly pricy though. frankenkitty’s review is very very good. The beer is questionable at best.Oh yeah, the sunday brunch is very good.

If there was a word to describe the feel of this joint, it would be "classy"... with a dark, lush atmosphere grounded by rich woods and marble. The beers, however, cannot play in the same ballpark as they are average at best, with the majority lacking in complexity and quality. Beer menu changes seasonally, but there is nothing really striking at any given time. I’ve stopped several times for samples, pints and growler fills but have not yet sampled their food.

There’s no need to make a special trip out here. If you’re in the area, you have several smarter choices including Millrose directly across the street which has a more interesting atmosphere, and Onion Pub a short drive up the road which has a far greater quality of beer. Brass seems to have fallen into the trap of "restaurant with a hook" rather than "brewery that expanded their menu".

I visited when they only had 3 beers on tap, the stout was tapped 3 weeks early and the other two were crap. Had no food but a waitress made it a point to show me some cotton-candy dessert that looked like an oil well in the middle of Central park. Maybe it was just me but most of the movie crowd was drinking wine. A total dud, bypass for any reason.

More of a swanky restaurant/brewpub. Beer was sub par, but the place opens early on Sunday and they had a nice carpeted backroom/lounge that I was able to sequester, with myself sampling their offerings while I played with my son on the floor (on his blanket.) If you only have time for one, hit Millrose across the street.

Pretty clean, trendy, and new. Entranceway separates dining room from bar area. Arcade games and cigar room off bar area. Menu selection is mediocre: burgers and sandwiches as well as steaks and the like. They had 6 of their beers on tap. I saw a bunch of people drinking Miller lite. $4 pints and $5 23oz glasses of their beer. 6 beer sampler $6.25. Honey wheat beer, German wheat beer, Porter, Amber ale, Pale ale, Maibock. The beers were mediocre, but better than other local brew pubs like RAM.
