78 Very cool place; huge church like interior filled with people. Beer menu is primarily Belgian directed but with local breweries plus Belgian. Atmosphere over selection. |

74 Quit nice. A Cafe in a former church. |
16 Incredibly busy on a Friday night. After waiting over 15 minutes to be served, gave up and left. Selection looked pretty limited. |

70 Visited on a Friday night, had some time to kill in between trains. Located next to Utrecht CS Hoog Catharijne. Huge and spaceous bar, located in an old church, and it shows. Looks really good. Lots of wood, church ornaments, loaded with beer ornaments. It’s quite popular as well, so it was crammed. Especially close to the bar it’s relatively narrow and not the best place to hang around on a busy night, but service was quick. Get a seat/table if you can. Beer selection is mostly Belgian, the obvious stuff, some Utrecht beers (vandeStreek, Stapzwan) and their house beer on tap. Didn’t eat here, no rating for that. A bit pricy, even for center Utrecht standards. Would visit again though. |
66 A huge and popular place in an old church, it’s a beautiful venue with decent food and fairly obvious Belgian classics for the beer selection. It does get very busy at peak times but even so on my last visit we were able to have a drink at the bar for 5 minutes before we got a table. Not a place to go and tick but nice enough for food and a decent beer. |
70 If you are into the Belgian classics, this is the place to go. A Cafe situated in a former church, which is a lovely sight to behold. Unfortunately it’s quite noisy due to the size/height of the building. The service is excellent and the food nice. Note: seriously crowded during peak hours. |
