74 Popped in a week before closing. They never really tried to make this what it should have been. A nice interior with old school brick and iron decor. The meat counter has been converted to a bar. Persephone taps with an odd one off at decent prices. Not a great stop, but it could have been if thought out a bit better. |
70 I liked it for what is - a brewery tap room. Very unbusy on a Sunday evening, which is sort of kind of my style. The generally excellent Persephone lineup combined with quietude make it a winner for me. |
72 This place was a good find for me, and by accident while on my way to Alibi Room. Popped in to knock off some Persephone ticks as I haven't had any really, but they didn't really have much on tap. Still had a few, and a superflux guest tap. Seems like the previous rater said, that this is mostly stuff that is widely available rather than one offs. Unfortunately you can't get any meat on this side of the place. Not sure if you can get the good beer on the non vegan side. OK if you are new to the west coast to bang of some taps of a good brewery. |
32 I want to love this place, but the execution just isn't there so far. 5 Persephone taps, but the selection was pretty lame, with none of their seasonals on tap. Flights / small pours available, and then 16 and 20 oz. pours for unjustifiably high prices ($7.50 & $8.50++). The all-vegan food is also a draw to me, but they only had 3 things on the menu (bagel + "lox", nachos, and caesar salad). We ordered the nachos, which were just dreadful - soggy chips and seemed like bottom of the bag, with pretty rank salsa - ugh. Hopefully they get their act together, as this was a pretty poor experience. I'll revisit in a few months and see if they've improved. |
