Captain Bligh’s Bar (Hilton Curaçao)

There is no point in going here...they don’t brew anymore, of course, and their beer selection is the usual swill. Decided to just eat dinner at the restaurant attached to it instead, which was decent but not great (overpriced for the quality, no surprise given that this is in a mega-hotel)...drank wine instead.

The ambience is amazing, walk down to the beach with a pina colada or mojito. Don’t buy beer here, its shiite mega-swill. I have to say this again, for double reinforcement.. Buy a cocktail, walk 20 meters to the beach, take a photo of sunset, enjoy the Facebook hate mail :)

During a cruise I took a cab here from the port basically just to try the beer. When I got there, they were out of it! The bartender said it would be ready next week, which frustrated me, but whatever. The ambiance is stellar- the beach is right there with beautiful blue waters and a traditional Caribbean style (walk-around) bar. Of course they only have a couple of local pale lagers in bottles (including Amstel Bright). Friendly staff- I just wish I could have tasted their beer!
