Nice but noicy.

A station bar at the Helsinki main railway station equipped with a couple of cask taps. Aside from those, the selection is very limited - some english, a couple of american, and Finnish bulk lager. The atmosphere is nice. Big windows to the tran- and bus stations, high cealing. Very decent place to spend a couple of minutes before travelling somewhere. They serve things that some people seem to find edible. But I would stay away from that - the food comes in vacuum-packaged portions, and heated in something of a glorified microwave owen.

An alright place at the train station. Large place with a nice ambiance and a good view of the station. Always have London Pride on cask, decent condition. Sometimes have another one on as well. You can usually find one offs from Stadin panimo here. Other than that, the selection isn’t too good. The service is alright though not that knowledgeable.

Nice athmosphere. Very nice place to wait a train and it doesnt matter whether the train is late or not. Clean taps can be tasted from quite good beer assortment.

Not a bad place for a station bar, couple of cask ales including a half decent local one. Worth the occasional stop off if local.

Went here to wait for my outbound train and enjoy some good beer. Turned out to be better than I expected. From the lobby of the station (on one end) I saw a nicely made sign advertising the place on the second level of the building. There’s also a sign on the door of the first level, which is where I went as I had luggage and didn’t want to fart around. I did see an elevator to the second floor elsewhere in the station so that may be an alternative to the stairs. The friendly, helpful, quick, (but not too knowledgable about beer) young lady bartender told me that they had a much larger selection of higly regarded draft and bottle beers on the second deck. Where I sat at the bar was quite cozy and yet I was easily able to park my luggage and enjoy my beer and chips. There was one other customer who also was very friendly seated at a low table. I had a couple of beers both Finnish and German that I’d not had before and were fairly good. Also available are the ubiquitous macros such as Heineken. The theme of the interior was kind of art deco. The bartender told me the place was only a few years old although it looked older and was nicely done. It’s a full service bar and has espresso available. They seem to be promoting sparkling wine as they had a lot of bottles of it on display. I’d like to return sometime especially to the second floor. I seem to recall that they may have had live entertainment there too.

Great location, lots of space, sometimes very busy, rather good selection, two cask ales. Always worth visiting.

Located in the central train station, this pub is very convenient if you are waiting for a train! One of the few situations where you do not mind if your train is delayed or even cancelled! The service can be slow but there is a reasonable range of beers here and they are usually in good condition.

A warm, dark environment, quite spacious, fairly quiet especially considering it’s in a train station. Tap list is decent enough and it typically has real ale, though they just tapped out when I arrived. Bummer. Prices are, well, beer’s expensive in Finland, period. At any rate, this place is a good enough reason to book your train for an hour or so later than need be.

Great for a railway station pub. A few good cask ales, lost of English ales on tap, and a number of bottled and draft beers from Belgium and Germany. Quiet in the afternoon.
