Very friendly service. Good selection, and I was easily able to find a number of untried beers. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth the visit.

Nice find in Daytona (and Florida in general). Good selection, especially for its small size. Had a smattering of U.S. and international beers with the usual customers (Bells, Dogfish Head, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Lagunitas, Stone, Erie) and a few less traveled for us Northern folk (Terrapin, Weyerbacher, Hoppin’ Frog). Service was very friendly (even helping me carry it to the car) and I don’t think it was because I just dropped $200 there. Hope they keep rolling (and expand).

What used to be a side room to play pool in while at McK’s Tavern has been recently transformed into what is the easiest place to shop for and browse import and craft beer in the Daytona Beach area. The bottles of beer, wine, and sake as well as some cans, and the glassware and t-shirts are all in a relatively small area, and there’s a person there to help you with finding something. Other than not being able to buy them cold to take home and consume them quickly, it’s pretty much a beer lover’s heaven.

Bottle Caps is an outstanding new beer store that just opened two months ago. The shop is located right beside McK’s Tavern and offers about 85-100 craft beers, many of which you cannot purchase elsewhere in Daytona. I was blown away by the quality and freshness of the products (most of them, anyway) and received friendly, attentive service from an older man with a military style brush cut. He didn’t really know too much about the beers but his kindness made up for his lack of expertise. I grabbed the following beers: Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale, Southampton Altbier, Narragansett Lager, Terrapin Hop Karma Brown IPA, Abita Jockamo IPA, Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout, Samuel Adams Latitude 48 IPA, Bell’s Kalamazoo Stout, Lost Coast Indica IPA, Anchor Porter, Cigar City Maduro Oatmeal Brown Ale, Cigar City José Martí India Porter, Oskar Blues Gubna Imperial IPA, Stone Sublimely Self Righteous Ale, Hoppin’ Frog BORIS The Crusher, Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel, Terrapin Side Project Capt’N Krunkles Black IPA, Cigar City Humidor Series Jai Alai Cedar Aged IPA, Sierra Nevada Grand Cru, La Trappe Isid’or, Orkney Skull Splitter, Lagunitas Censored (Kronik), and Lagunitas The Hairy Eyeball Ale. All of these brews - and 3 more that I can’t remember - came to $110 with the 10% discount, which is pretty reasonable considering their calibre. They also sell a small range of glassware, including the Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass and a Sierra Nevada Anniversary tulip. Overall, this place has very quickly established itself as Daytona’s best beer store and it’s an obvious destination for any beer geek in the area.
