Restaurant with a small bar just as you enter. 23 different beers on bottle, some French but mostly Belgian. Nothing overly exciting but there isn’t much else beerwise in this part of Paris.

Went there last night with my friend from Brazil. We were waiting for another friend who couldn’t make it so we left ater one beer each. It was prime time on Friday night and the manager got pissed at us for taking a table for only the beer. I had thought about eating there but my friend said she thought the place seemed a little snooty. Our bill was 16 e for the 12 oz beer that is the bar’s namesake ( and quite good) and an 11 oz belgian. They gave us some free appetizers that were quite tasty too. Sometimes you gotta roll with the punches.

This is a very nice restaurant in classy and beautifull art deco style in the center of Paris very close to the Arc de Troimphe. It is a Belgian restaurant, so the menu is mostly North of France and Belgian cuisine. The beer/wine menu is interesting, and since I only looked at the beer section that had caught my dear interest. Top French and Belgium beers are featured, about 30 of them, and you wont find your regular Leffe, Stella or Heineken here , with quite a few 75cl, and you will reconise names like Cantillon, Chimay, Rochfort and Rodenbach to name a few. The food is very top quality and very well served with the most of the flavors of the Flanders. The service is very nice. They have a full menu at 28 Euros (starter, main dish and desert) Beers are a little expensive, but this is Paris. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would want to sample a true Belgian meal.

To be clear, this is not my review. This is my mom’s unsolicated review after I recommended this place to her. I have never been there, so take the review for what is it worth. Mom:Ate at your restaurant - the food was great. Appetizers 10++ of tomatoes lightly cooked stuffed with a cream sauce with mussels and shrimp. Then chicken in beer sauce - just OK+ then a fantastic peach dessert 10++. Beer - waiter insisted on ordering to match food. Very gd Belgium Popperings hommel Next email: Me: What woud you give the place out of 20? Mom: Rate the restarant as a 16/20. It has a definite plain atmosphere, staff, food, beer were excellent. Rating should reflect aforementioned comments.

Stopped by this place because of the glowing review by MartinT. Located just north and west of the Arc de Triomphe down this narrow street. Small place and classy. In the 2 years since MartinT’s review beer bottles no longer greet you as you walk in but the menu still has some strong choices at very resonable prices. We stopped by around 7pm and they were not serving yet (starts 730) and the hostess suggested that we make reservations for later in the night. We had plans later and could not stay for dinner. Pleasant staff that tolerated our French and spoke very good English (not that we expected them to speak English to us).

A very quaint small restaurant housing exquisite Northern French cuisine with a quite surprising Belgian and French beer selection. A host of 750ml bottles adorn the desk upon entering, such as La Rouge Flamande, Angélus, Grain d’Orge, etc. The food is as good as it gets for a restaurant with a decent beer selection and is better than Fourquet Fourchette in Chambly, Québec. Chef is very accessible and eager to please. Beer is not promoted as intensely as it could be by the waiting staff, probably because they are not knowledgeable at all on these matters. Belgian selection includes Cantillon basics, Rochefort 8 and 10, Gulden Draak, Piraat, the St.Bernardus lineup, Van Eecke products, etc. And the best of all, prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food you have in this one of the most visited areas of Paris. The dinner menu was 32 euros per person, plus drinks, tax and tip included. The Filet de Maatjes appetizer was particularly fabulous, as was the Waterzooi de la mer (from the sea). A must for lovers of great cuisine who happen to want some great beer at the same time!
