66 Small 3storey building, 28 chairs outside, 8 tables. St Georgenbräu dominates the beer meny. Ice-cafés on both sides, then about noon most people were there. Staff looked sad. I ordered Schäuferla and pils. Pilsner could very well have been colder. Food menu is very long, and they have burgers too. Schäuferla with Sauerkraut were fantastic. Nice place, it needs better cooling for their beers, and a doze enthusiasm and smile would help too. |

62 I had some nice schnitzel here plus some lovely beers from St. Georgen Bräu. There are far better places for beer in Bamberg but this is a nice restaurant with decent food and some good beers on the menu. |
60 Ambiance - Fairly touristy dimmly lit pub with lots of dark wood decor. Decent amount of guests but most sat outside. Service - Very German with one young very friendly waiter that didn’t have much of a clue and one older fairly rough gentleman who had all the clue and a fairly unpolished sense of service. As a unit they where quite fine but on their own they weren’t very good. Selection - A couple of local beers of decent quality. Food - Solid hearthy German food. Had the bratwurst and saurkraut in a beer sauce. heavy but quite tasty! Value - Fair. Additional comments - None! |
58 A bit touristy, but we stopped for some beers and food. Service was ok, beers were decent. Not worth a visit if you just stay for a short time in Bamberg. |
56 Stopped in to try the St. Georgen Dunkel. The prices seemed to be the highest in the city. Tourist trap feel for sure. Would not go back, though the woman in charge at the time was friendly enough. |
54 Tourist-trap restaurant with bad service and regular but pricey food. Some good beers, including St. Georgeen Brau, though. But I would not recommend. Good location, right next to the Rathaus. |
58 City central located, small restaurant with decent choice of German beers. Ambiance is very cozy, service could be better - in terms of friendliness and beer knowledge. You have to try Rauchbier, of course... |
52 Touristy bar two stones away from Altes Rathaus. The only reason to sit there is the selection of St.Georgenbräu. |
62 Touristy spot in the old part of the town. Not really a beery place... altough I wouldn’t have wanted to miss the great selection of Georgenbraû beers that this place offers! They have a few on tap and a couple in bottle aswell. |
