54 Historic review for my own records only. Only really of interest for the New Zealand beers (mainly/exclusively from Speights). A more permanent home following on from their portacabin on the terrace by Temple tube station. The range doesn’t change much, if at all, so there’s not really any reason to revisit once you’ve done them. I’ve been twice and it was almost deserted both times so I don’t know how long it will last (answer with the benefit of hindsight - not long). |
52 Modern cellar bar. Empty when I was there, except for the bar staff, and a mouse scurrying across the kitchen floor. So I didn’t eat there. TVs with sports on, and piped music. The real draw of the place is that it serves only beers from New Zealand. You can get a taster tray with 4 different beers, and they have more in bottle. Quiet friendly place to relax with some new ratings, but wouldn’t go there for anything else. |
