A cheese and cured meats store with quite a large beer and wine section at the entrance, mostly regional beers form Greater London. However, we found some interesting ones from Lervig that we had not tasted before. According to the excellent book on London’s best beer pubs, bars and shops by Des de Moor they have drink-in sessions here on Saturday nights. Uphill from the Gipsy Hill train station (visited with Finn 28.11.2015).

Small wine/beershop with a heartly welcome. OK selection and a few interesting beers. Some rarities from Lervig.

Handy, small wine shop with a decent range of well selected beers. Enough to choose from and a very patient owner who was always on hand for advice, giving me the Gose warning, which was nice. Mostly London breweries but a few from further afield. Good.

We visited here on Thursday 2nd October 2014 after drive down from Newcastle that took over 8hrs! with just a 20min stop at home en route. Anyway back to this place, it’s a smart deli/off-licence that is situated a 2-3 min walk up Westow Hill on the LH/other side of road from Westow House pub. It’s a small oblong shop with wine and then moving onto beer on the left as you enter. There are cured meats and cheeses behind the counter on the right. The beers start about halfway along and continue until nearly the rear of the shop. The choice is excellent and must easily exceed 150 bottles with Wild Beer, Siren, Kernel, Partizan, Crate, Pressure Drop, Weird Beard etc amongst a very good selection; in fact the London choice is superb. The prices are reasonable as well. There are also ciders and I noted the excellent Once Upon a Tree/Dragon Orchard, Ice Cider & Perry available. The lady/owner was really pleasant and chatty and the meat and cheese selection was also pretty impressive. Great little find just a ten minute walk from the campsite.

Glad I took the chance to take a bus up the road to visit this place on a Saturday morning, on a recent trip back to the hood. On entering this place on the left hand side is a large selection of beers and on the right a deli offering some amazing looking cheeses. The staff were friendly, and the chap speaking to me (think he was the owner) was very knowledgeable about the beers they offered. They had around 50+ beers on my visit but he explained that in a few months with further work they are hoping to increase this to 200 bottles which I will look forward to seeing if so. Prices were very good, and I left with a nice supply to take back home to CPH. Will certainly return on my next trip back soon.

Good Taste is a small cheese & charcuterie shop that happens to have a pretty damn solid selection of beer. On my visit there were roughly 50 beers available. Mostly stuff from London with the odd bottle from Scotland or the south coast thrown in. The selection’s very nicely curated. Top-tier London breweries such as Beavertown, Kernel, and Partizan were all well represented. The prices were pretty excellent. The service was good too. Overall, definitely worth a look in. The cheese looked pretty good too.

Good Taste Food & Drink is a small deli located on the Crystal Palace triangle. They have a brilliant selection of top quality breads, meats, cheeses and beverages. There are probably about 30-40 beers in total both cold from the fridge and on the shelf. The selection is small, but well chosen with breweries like Oakham, BrewDog, London Fields and Art Brew on offer. Selection seems to change fairly regularly. The staff are friendly and attentive. Service couldn’t have been better.
