Posthumous review for my own archives. Visited a few times. Clean pub with a stripped out, woody feel. Never felt particularly comfortable to me. Half a dozen handpumps with the chance of something interesting made it one of the better options in the area at the time. In the "handy if you’re passing but not a destination in itself" category. Superceded by the Hop & Berry.

Visited on the 14/1-2012 on the Overground Pubcrawl. A bit anonymous is this pub, a mixture of oldfashion and modern, with a center bar with 6 handpumps and a small bottle selection.

A plain - perhaps a bit nondescript - bar with clean lines in a quietish street parallel to Upper Street in Islington. It has 6 hand pumps and a small selection of bottles. (Visited 14 January 2012).
