Visited in March '17 on a tip that one of their own beers was on and I seem to have been the only person on RB to have rated one ! Street corner local with a gastro food kind of edge. Decent enough selection of taps if nothing wow. Their own beer ... seemingly the only one they did was a pretty average APA ... theres too much good stuff these days to be selling a 3.0 APA. Service was prompt and friendly and it was doing a decent trade at 4pm on a weekday afternoon.

Nice brewpub, but not own beer available yet, they expect to have ready in few weeks time, but by then I am gone back home. The place was nice, with nice sitting places and great service. Counted 12 taps and about 20 bottles of good and various selection in style and breweries. Worth a visit. Visited 02.12.2017.

Quite traditional British on the outside. More modern looking and kind of minimalistic on the inside.
Unfortunately not any of their own beers at my visit. But they had a quite nice tap selection. Best in this area. Decent bottle selection. A good addition to this area. I really enjoyed Marylebone.
Also possible to sit outside. Helpful staff, and clean toilets. A recommendable pit stop in this area!

On 3 visits they had none of their own beers and were very vague over future availability. Decent selection of other beers though and clearly popular judging by how busy it was. Very expensive. And a half is more than half the price of a pint?? Shouldn’t be down as a brew pub.

Corner pub a short walk to the south-east of Great Portland Street Tube Station. It’s a single room pub with the bar occupying half the length of its back wall, well designed, with well kept traditional fixtures and fittings. It’s quite light and airy in here too with large glass windows throughout. There’s a mix of cask and keg ales available here with plenty of interesting options. They don’t use pump clips though, it’s all chalked up in front of the pumps on small slates, which means it takes some time to read and identify all the ales available. They are also chalked up on the walls too. At the time of writing this was classed as a Brewpub on Ratebeer, but no evidence of this place brewing its own ales was found.

I visited the George and Dragon on Wednesday 26th April 2017, having attended a course in the vicinity, I was doing a short walk from Marble Arch to Fitzrovia along the A5204 taking in places en route, this was just a little off that route and was on my way back to Marylebone, it was stop number 7. The George and Dragon is on the corner of Cleveland Street and Greenwell Street and the closest tube would be Great Portland Street though Warren Street is also very close, between them these two stops offer up about five different tube line options and then there are also lots of bus options heading east or west on the A501 Marylebone Rd which is pretty much where these tubes sit alongside and is the road that connects the mainline stations along here.

The George and Dragon is a one room corner pub and quite an attractive one at that, with some nice glazed tiling at the bottom of the exterior walls up to window height on the mostly white painted exterior. It’s in a predominantly residential area with some nice houses, (Georgian period townhouses, I’m guessing?) around these parts. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside, and a few folks were out here as it was quite busy inside. It’s simple pub inside, plenty of wood, a couple of supporting columns seating around the outside walls and generally you sense it is a tidy and uncluttered place, I like it here.

I note that this is listed as a brew pub, though I never saw any of their own beers on. The choice was good with the likes of Oakham, Southwark and Adnams on cask, though the beers listed as cask appeared to be in a high level keg style font dispense to me, there were a couple of Irish beers on keg Franciscan Wells and Chieftain? It seemed to be frequented mostly by people nipping in for an after work beer before continuing a journey home perhaps. The staff were friendly enough and service was fairly rapid. As already mentioned, liked it here, it’s a nice pub.
