The resort has 2 beer restaurants. The first one is an all you can eat/drink deal for hungry vikings, but I’d rather recommend the second one which is a large indoor beer garden in which you can enjoy watching the actual brewery through a glass wall. Food there is pretty decent, specially ribs, sausages and other meat dishes. You can taste their 5 local German-style brews in pint or small glass at a pretty reasonable price, even though overall you’d probably end up spending about 3000 yen in either of the 2 restaurants.

Revisited after 13 years or so. Free shuttle buses from gotemba and Mishima stations. All-you-can-eat and drink is ¥3300 for lunch, ¥3850 for dinner. 6 different beers on tap. Two were a bit off, the other 4 were decent enough. Nothing mind-blowing. Food is tremendously varied but still not of the highest quality. Choose carefully. A much better value in today's economy than it was in 2009. Went for the all-you-can eat, all-you-can-drink deal for about ¥3000. Food was fun and varied, though not of the highest quality. Beers were good, 5 kinds in all, I think. Lots of fun, though you have to eat and drink a lot to get your money’s worth. Worth a stop if you’re around.

This place has a number of restaurants, but the most attractive pricewise is the Mugibake. For 3,100 yen you can feast on 40 items (Japanese, Western and Ethnic) and drink 5 different German drafts for 80 minutes (or until you burst). It seats hundreds in a beer hall/cafeteria style, but most nights reservations are required. The beers are fresh and pretty close to their intended styles. Swartz and weizen were my favorite. Weizenbock a bit light but easy to drink for a 7% beer.
