No Longer In Business

This place has no business on Ratebeer. Maybe Yelp or Urbanspoon. They carried the same 8-10 bottles of beer the six years I went there, and they were all pretty phoned in. Service was rangy, from friendly to downright neglectful and smug. Yeah, the place was cute and all, and it attracted out of towners as a destination, but the kitsch got old really quick. The food- at times it was the best of it’s kind (southern style/homestyle cooking) in the area. Their Hot Brown was awesome, and they had a burger with blue pimento cheese that was a favorite. Latkes and goat cheese were another favorite. Other times, the food seemed rather dry or cold. Still, most meals here were very good. As mentioned before, they could be a bit pricey (the beer list was ridiculously pricey for the quality) but the food was usually worth it. I don’t really miss Lynn’s, especially considering the lack of good beer, but for breakfast/brunch The Cafe on Brent is nearby, and is up there with Lynn’s in terms of quality, much more consistent, and literally half the price. They close at 4 p.m. most days, so check the hours before you visit.

Usually busy. Service is friendly. beer selection is varied but quite limited. Food is good and somewhat eclectic and primarily made with local and/or organic ingredients. fairly standard mark up. not a place to go to for beer, but if you go, do it for the gift shop and atmosphere. Yes, it is Gaudi (gaudy).

Stopped in with my wife for breakfast while we were in town after hearing great things (they’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Tacky is definitely this place’s theme, but it works. The beer list isn’t extensive (and it’s all bottled), but there are a couple satisfying craft beers on the list. Staff is friendly, and the food is AMAZING! I had the Boutbon Ball French Toast (and I’m usually an eggs, meat, and potatoes kind of guy), and I was blown away! I can see why it beat Bobby Flay in Throwdown. Not cheap, but worth every penny!
