Quite an interesting place. The ambiance is a bit like a small diner, except for all the tubas and sousaphones on the walls near the ceiling. On our way out, we also noticed the small patio with the "sousaphountain," a fountain made of a sousaphone and a couple tubas. The menu has a diverse international selection with many vegetarian choices, many of which are or can be made vegan. I was a bit worried with all they seemed to be attempting to do. I ordered a stir-fry, and while it was a bit oily, it was also quite tasty. There’s a rotating Tuba Charlie’s ale brewed at the brewpub or contract brewed by Michigan Brewing available on tap along with about eight more Michigan taps. Our waitress mentioned that she had a hand in brewing our first selection, a tasty Belgian ale. The bulk of the beer selection comes from about 200 bottles, mostly from outside the U.S. Certainly a unique combination here. Large parts beer bar and international restaurant with a tuba theme and a touch of brewpub make this an interesting place to try out.
