60 Big place over the harbor. Feels small inside with different rooms. Busy when I went around dinnertime Saturday. Nice view of Lake Superior out the windows. Did not eat here. Ten beers on tap.In general, mediocre, and a couple with minor flaws. Flights for a buck per sample. Customer service was friendly but passive. They clearly fell into a rut 10+ years ago and are happy to remain there. |
62 I’ve been here many times since going to school and have always enjoyed the food. Ten years ago it was the only brewery in town. Food is good beer is mediocre. |
78 I ate on the restaurant side but the tasting room looked interesting as well. Beautiful view of the lake from out table and a nice selection of food and beer. I look forward to going back. |
80 Had the Salmon salad and a Stout....both were delicious. Definitely gonna go back the next time I’m in the UP! |
86 Try to eat here any time we are in Marquette. More upscale than your typical Yooper restaurant. Beer offerings include not just their own. Enjoy dining while you look out over Lake Superior. You can also see the dock where your fish came in. |
82 When I looked at the beer list I saw a whole bunch of wheats and not much else, but 3 wheats later I was one happy camper. These beers were outstanding and paired with Thai green curry whitefish, well my friend, it was as good as it gets. Highly recommended. |
74 Great brewpub in a fantastic and historic setting. The beers are good, but not great. Food is wonderful, and the fresh fish is to die for. |
62 Very popular place in Marquette; my second attempt was successful. Make reservations if you’re planning on visiting on a summer weekend. I believe there were 7 beers on tap, all were decent, but nothing was mind-blowing, and the styles were the standards. The bar area is tiny and crowded, so opt for a table if you can. I had a very good curried whitefish sandwich, and the menu was a bit more diverse than the typical meat-eggs-potatoes UP restaurant. Service was so-so; the staff seemed overwhelmed by the 3/4 capacity crowd, and I waited 10 minutes for a table, even though several were open. Marquette’s a pretty cool place, and this is a stop worth making. |
60 Lovely old charming bar with ancient bottles (some from breweries dead in the Prohibition era) lining the walls, a beautiful light wood bar, stained glass panes and historic prints, gray tin ceiling....service a bit slow at first (’cuz I was alone?) but improved quickly....food ok, a nice whitefish sandwich was fresh and well cooked but the fries were obviously frozen commercial crap....and the beer, alas, was pretty mediocre. Very cheap as are most brewpubs in the upper midwest, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. |
74 Great atmosphere. We got there on a busy Saturday night. Were told we would have 1.5 hour wait, but waitress found us a place within a half hour. Gave us time to grab a couple of pints of some very good brew. Friendly patrons! Wonderful whitefish. They don’t over feed you with ridiculously large portions. Prompt service. Worth the wait. |
