Giant modern sports bar in a shopping complex with free covered parking. Every TV set to the same channel, which I haven’t seen before. Massive taplist. A dozen local things with a handful of seasonals. Pin foid. Decent specisls. Tons of pale adjunct lagers.

Parkin Building situation. Big nice sports bar with lots of big screen tvs. Big Quartz bar. Huge selection of taps. Service was pretty good, but they weren’t really that busy on a Friday evening. Didn’t try the food. Pricing is reasonable.

Typical chain sports bar, except they have literally hundreds of beers to choose from. I’ve only been here twice but the service was excellent and the server was very knowledgeable about craft beer. The food is, again, typical sports bar food. Prices are good for the area. Anytime I’m in the area I will definitely go back.

Visited: 10-15-11 This was the second time I had been to this taco mac location and had brought a friend who had never been here and he was overwhelmed with this place. The place is huge and can hold a lot of people on a game day, with TVs at all of the boothes and TVs all around. They also have several raised tables with the self-serving tap system with 3 different taps to choose from, which is really great idea. They have 140 taps that are very wide array of different styles of beers, plus another 100 bottles to choose from too. The food was okay, typcial bar food, nothing impressive and a little pricey. It seems like the food would be about a dollar more at taco mac than other places and the beer about 50 cents more than other places. The service was okay as I think the wait staff may be overwhelmed when the place is busy during a game day.

Definitely the biggest Taco Mac I’ve ever seen and probably the best local beer selection as well. They had 25-30 taps of NC craft which is always nice to see. They don’t carry a ton of rare stuff and very little foreign but it’s a good place to accumulate beer tics. Taco Mac is known in these parts for their wings and they were good. I can’t speak to knowledge but the bartender was very attentive. Tons of tv’s so great place to watch a game plus they are open late with their full menu. It’s not perfect but it’s very solid.

So the much anticipated Taco Mac is finally open in Charlotte. I have heard so much (good and bad) about this chain, so I decided to find out for myself. The place has a typical chain restaurant, sports bar appeal. Lots of TV’s, if there is a game on you should be able to find it on one of the TV’s. When you first approach the place you see all of the outdoor seating, which is nice if you are not interested in the sports bar scene inside. Once you walk in you see that the place is huge. Tons of seating, some of the tables have taps at the table. There is also an upstairs seating area. The place is very chain restaurant esque. The service was slow and not overly friendly. I don’t know if the place was understaffed when I was there or if they are still getting used to thier jobs as the place has only been open for a couple of weeks. The menu was OK, nothing special, but not bad either. Reminds me of a Ruby Tuesday or TGI Fridays. I ordered a burger and fries, and had no complaints. The beer menu us huge (140 taps), an awful lot of those taps are devoted to Macro. Really there were only a couple of taps that I was really impressed with. This place was not bad, but I think Duckworths is still the best beer destination in Charlotte.
