70 Easy stop when you’re at Tyler’s, and if you have any time, there’s no reason not to when you’re visiting Tyler’s. Decent beer selection, some good taps to boot. |
64 It’s a small space located just down the hall from the Tyler’s main room. The selection is solid but not extensive as other competitors nor as editorial as smaller shops I’ve. I didn’t see much I didn’t see around town except for selections that have sold out in other places months ago. They have a pick six section, it’s even refridgerated, but its very small. I can’t see this as any kind of destination place. |
92 It’s a clean, inviting place, though the floor is a bit utilitarian. The guys there know their stuff, and are happy to help you with anything you need, any questions you have. Their selection is great, but a bit limited by their space, and maybe a little bit shy of what area competitors can offer. If you want food, there’s Tyler’s Taproom, the restaurant, right next door. Great prices, love the create-your-own mix and match six packs for the variety. There are free tastings every Friday at 5, a great way to try before you buy and also learn how to taste your beer more consciously. Overall it’s the best all around bottle shop in Raleigh--other places are much closer, but this is where I go. |
72 Solid little bottle shop, similar to their Carrboro location. Probably about the same amount of bottles and very similar selection. A few taps and tables if you want to hang out a bit. But the big Tylers is right next door. |
74 Stopped in here about a month after the place opened, and this was before my pal ucusty started working there - I’d rate the custy’ed version but I haven’t been back. At any rate, even in its opening phase the bottle shop was doing well. Nice warehouse adjunct space, small but smartly laid out to display the fine selection of locals, nationals, and imports. U.S. craft and Belgians well represented. Funny how, after years of fallow territory, four rockin’ good bottle shops have sprung up in Raleigh almost overnight. Visitors to the fine restaurants in Seaboard Station should definitely stop in and grab a few things. |
